St Richard of Chichester
Richard of Chichester (Richard de Wych 1197–1253) was born in Droitwich and became chancellor at Oxford University. He was bishop at Lyon and then at Chichester, where he was buried, his shrine becoming a place of pilgrimage. He was canonised in 1262.
