Signed with the artist's monogram and dated.

Given in memory of Mary Gwendoline and Bertie Cunynghame Dwyer-Hampton of Henllys. Bertie Cunynghame Dwyer-Hampton won the Grand National on the Cresta Run at St Moritz in 1887, aged only 14, before serving in the Boer War and as a major with the Leicestershire Regiment in the First World War. Mary Gwendoline was his second wife, the daughter and heir of Col. Thomas Lewis Hampton Lewis of Henllys (whose father, John Lewis Hampton Lewis is commemorated in the neighboring window).
