An Angel Greets the Three Women at the Empty Tomb with St Luke and St John

Three-light window. The crowded central scene at the empty tomb is flanked by standing figures of Luke (left) and John (right). In the upper central light Christ is seated in Majesty with orb and sceptre, between angels with censers.
size: 56 cm (width of each light)
firm/studio: probably Daniel Bell
Church of St Gwrthwl, Llanwrthwl, Powys
east wall of the chancel (window number: I)
The window may be tentatively attributed to Daniel Bell, shortly after he was working in partnership with Richard Almond.
Given in memory of the Revd John Eagles in 1874 by his daughter Emma Jane Graham Clarke.
