The close similarity with the neighbouring window, also a war memorial and depicting the Archangel Michael with Joshua and Pabo Post Prydain, attributes the window to Jones and Willis, who signed the other window. The firm were also responsible for the later window to the left (1931), which also relates to the early history of Christianity in Wales.
The patron of the church, Dunawd, is depicted at the centre of the window. He was the son of Pabo, depicted in the neighbouring window, and Deiniol was the son of Dunawd, born prior to Dunawd's adoption of a religious life and appointment as abbot of the monastery of Bangor-on-Dee. Asaph is depicted as the patron of the diocese, while Deiniol was the patron of the diocese of Bangor in north-west Wales.
