John Edwards
Stained glass designer and artist. From 1955 John Edwards worked for Celtic Studios as a designer and glass painter. He also worked freelance for other studios, latterly working with Tim Lewis of Glantawe Studios, designing and painting stained glass. He taught at Swansea College of Art from the 1970s until the 1990s. Living near Swansea in Gower, his work is found in numerous churches across south Wales, as well as in Canada, where some of his work was exported to by Celtic Studios. Having also initially trained as an illustrator, John Edwards also works as a watercolourist.
