Amber Hiscott


Stained glass artist. Amber Hiscott was born in Swansea and studied in the Architectural Glass Department of Swansea College of Art from 1972-5, after which she studied with Ludwig Schraffrath in Germany during 1976. With the help of the Crafts Council she established her practice at a studio in Gloucester Place, Swansea. Amber Hiscott has been successful in gaining both public and ecclesiastic commissions within and beyond Wales, working on many of the projects with David Pearl. As well as glass for architectural contexts she has also produced free-standing glass sculptures, such as her Glass Towers and Razor Shells, made with David Pearl, in Cardiff Bay.
