Col. Herbert Davies-Evans (1842-1928)
Herbert Davies-Evans lived at Highmead, in the parish of Llanwenog. He designed and carved some of the woodwork in Llanwenog church, where he was also the organist. He served in the Royal Navy and was Lord-Lieutenant of Cadiganshire from 1889-1924.
