Photo © Martin Crampin
1919
Three-light window. A kneeling figure in armour offers up his sword and receives the crown of life from an angel. Standing figures of the two soldier saints in the outer lights. Two further angels below with the text 'Faithful unto death'.
firm/studio: A. L. Moore & Son
Church of St Cynllo, Llangynllo, Ceredigion
west wall of the nave
Given in memory of Marteine Kemes Arundell Lloyd (hence the appearance of his patron, St Martin, and not just because he is a soldier saint), son of Sir Marteine Lloyd, Bart. He was killed at the Battle of the Somme on 15 September 1916.
