John Hardman Powell (1827–1895)
Stained glass designer. John Hardman Powell was the nephew of John Hardman (1811–67), and through Hardman's connections with A.W.N. Pugin, J.H. Powell became Pugin's pupil (and then his son-in-law). J.H. Powell assumed the role of chief designer for his uncle's rapidly expanding firm John Hardman & Co. after Pugin died in 1852.
