New church built 1865–6 on site of a medieval church, at the expense of Miss Mary Beatrice Phillips, sister of the squire, George Henry Phillips. Rood screen and figures post-1886. The Victorian interior includes a reredos with glass mosaic panels by Salviati and stained glass by Heaton, Butler & Bayne (chancel) and Clayton & Bell (west). Painting of 'Agony in the Garden' a copy of Antonio Corregio's work in the Duke of Wellington's collection at Apsley House. Tympanum over south door.
